Tom was born in Cincinnati, OH, to the late Fred T. and Sally Prather.
His career in sales and management for Blue Cross BlueShield of KY and Delta Dental spanned 36 years in Pineville, Paducah, and Louisville. In retirement, Tom served on the Board of Trustees and Assistant to the President for Development of Clear Creek Baptist Bible College and enjoyed singing barbershop with The Thoroughbred Chorus.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his three children, David (Maggie) Prather of Cincinnati, Mary (Bill) Cox of Atlanta, and Shannon (Steve) Wisbey of Lousiville. Surviving grandchildren are Adam Prather, Kendal (Connor) Wetzel, Hannah Cox, Meredith Cox, Luke Prather, Maddie Cox, Barrett Wisbey, and Jacob Wisbey.
