Tom Keith, 46, of The Woodlands, Texas and formerly of Jacksonville, died Saturday, July 7, 2007, at his residence.
He was born August 29, 1960, in Jacksonville, the son of Alva Thomas and Sharlyn Pennell Keith, Sr. He married Kathy Lacey July 19, 1996 in Jacksonville and she survives. He is also survived by two brothers, Aaron (wife, Sarah) Coleman of Jacksonville; John (wife, Colleen) Coleman of Fargo, ND; his step-father, Millard Coleman of Padukah, KY; his grandmother, Irene Pennell of Jacksonville; one nephew; one niece, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharlyn Pennell Keith Coleman, one daughter, Shannon Keith on May 29, 2007, and his grandfather Melvin Pennell.
He was a graduate of Routt High School, worked for 15 years at Capitol Records, and then he owned and operated Tom’s Auto Repair in Jacksonville. He liked to work on cars, doing everything from rebuilding engines and routine repairs, to restorations and custom paint jobs. He enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to music, relaxing with his dogs and cats, and watching movies with his wife and daughter. Tom had a wonderful sense of humor and was fun to be around. He loved his family and friends with all his heart and was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed, but remembered always.
