Tom Behunin, 63, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away at home on April 2, 2018; he was surrounded by the love of his family, after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. Tom was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and “Papa T”. Tom was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, to Delon (D) and Mary Behunin. He was one of eight children: Gloria Shearer (D), Cindy (Rob) Parker, Jeff Behunin (D), Vince Behunin, Serri Behunin-Hupp, Heidi Nesladek, and Troy (Julie) Behunin. Tom graduated from Arvada West High School in 1973. He worked with his father, starting at the early age of 10, where he learned to be a brick mason; a skill which he took tremendous pride in his entire life. He married Denise Olsen in 1976 and was blessed with four amazing children: Jennifer Behunin (her daughter, Lilliana and Lillian’s father, Bill Hahn); Tiffany Day (her husband, Shane, and their children, Kalyssa, Kambrie, Koralyn, and Kinnley); Calvin Behunin (his wife, Carie, and their children, Micah and Roselyn); and Steven Behunin (his girlfriend, Kayla Kromarek). Tom worked as a Construction Supervisor at MillerCoors from 1978-1996 where he met many of his close friends. Tom loved to work and did it with the upmost perfection. He started Tom J. Behunin Construction in 1996, which specialized in Industrial Epoxy Coatings. Tom took tremendous pride in having a business where his family was able to work side by side with him. He was a man that prided himself on a job well done! Tom was the ultimate family man. He loved and adored his seven grandkids more than words could ever describe.
