With deepest sorrow, we announce that Todd Youngquist, age 59, beloved son, brother, family member and friend, passed suddenly from this life on October 22nd, 2020.

Todd will be missed every day by his father, Bud, step-mother, Charlene, in California, and sister, Lisa, brother-in-law, Bill, in Indiana where he most recently resided. Todd is also mourned by his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many great friends.

We know Todd is now playing cribbage with Gramps, enjoying Grandma Rose’s cinnamon rolls, is lovingly reunited with his mother, Dori, cousin Randy, Uncle Bob, Aunt Liz, and many other extended family members.

Todd graduated from Phoenix Institute of Technology in 1981with a degree in architectural drafting. He continued studying art and design at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA from 82-85. While working his way through college, Todd discovered his passion for mixology, an art that allowed him to not only serve people, but to contribute to a simple evening of fun and laughter. Todd worked as a bartender at The Leucadian for 20 years, a small beach town bar, where Todd often remembered everyone’s name, but if he couldn’t remember your name, he remembered your favorite drink.

Anyone who knew Todd knew his gentle spirit, generous heart, and his love for games. When hearing of Todd’s death, so many comment, “What a gentle soul,” or “Why are the good ones taken?” Todd, we miss you—you made the world a brighter place.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of life will follow at a later date.
