Tod M. VanWormer, 43, of Elkhart, passed away after a sudden illness Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in January. 2, 1969, in Fort Wayne to Donald R. and Sara R. (Kauffman) VanWormer.
Survivors include two daughters, Tia and Shelby VanWormer, both of Elkhart; son Dylan VanWormer of Elkhart; mother Sara VanWormer of Elkhart; fiancée Stacy Hanson of Granger; sister Dru (Tony) Niece of Granger; and two grandsons, Braydon VanWormer and Gavin Sexton, both of Elkhart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. VanWormer.
Tod was employed as a welder at Wells Cargo for more than 19 years and was previously employed at North End Cycle in Elkhart for 8 years.
In addition to being an avid Notre Dame football fan, Tod served as an usher at Notre Dame Stadium for more than 23 years.
He also enjoyed bowling, motor-cross racing, going for walks, and especially riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and going four-wheeling in his Jeep.
He was a member of the Michiana Jeep Club and several bowling leagues.
