Tina Marie Rowley, 34, died Friday, February 1, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. She always had hope, never gave up, and is now soaring on wings like an eagle – Isaiah 40:31.
Tina, a Christian, wife, mother, sister and friend, loved all of life, but especially the beach, boating, sports, Bible study, cooking and most of all; Tina treasured time with her family.
Born in Raleigh, North Carolina on April 8, 1973, Tina was the daughter of James T. and Sara Jane Edwards who preceded her in death. She graduated from Ravenscroft School, attended Brenau College in Gainesville, Georgia and graduated from Peace College in Raleigh.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David, and her precious children, David III (Tripp) 6 and Katherine (Katie) 2 and her loving black lab – “Happy”. Also surviving Tina are her brothers, Reginald and his wife Charlotte, Bryan Edwards and sister Sherre Edwards. Also surviving are Tina’s in-laws, David and Cynthia Rowley, sisters and brothers-in law Deborah and Henry Tilton, and Rebecca and John Gupton – all of Raleigh. Tina leaves behind special nieces, nephews and her many special friends.
The family thanks the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at UNC Hospitals, Rex Hospital, Rex Cancer Center, Rex Rehabilitation Center and Wake County Hospice for their loving, compassionate and excellent care. We also thank the members of Bay Leaf Baptist Church, North Raleigh Christian Academy and many friends all over the country for their prayers, constant encouragement and, loving support over the past three years.
