DURHAM- Mr. Timothy Wayne Carthen, 57, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018.
Mr. Carthen was born February 13, 1961 to Atlas Carthen and Patricia Woods in Durham, NC. He loved to build and do woodworking from furniture to birdhouses. Mr. Carthen was a kind-hearted man who would help anyone. He will be remembered as a fighter who never gave up. Mr. Carthen will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Carthen is preceded in death by his father, Atlas Carthen; special friend, Sybil Laws.
Mr. Carthen is survived by his mother, Pat W. Brown; daughter, Amber Carthen and grandchildren; brothers, Ricky Chamberlain (Paula), Steven Carthen; sisters, Elizabeth Johnson (Alphonzo), Robin Guy (Robert) and numerous nieces and nephews and a very close friend Mrs. Timberlake (and family) and his loving dog “Fat Girl”.
