Timothy R. Donovan Sr., passed away on November 19th, at the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home after a long illness. Born in Lynn on May 2, 1941, to the late Timothy and Irene (Richard’s) Donovan. Timothy is survived by his wife Janet (Teel) Donovan, two sons Timothy Jr. and Brian Donovan. Grandfather; known as Grumpy to Brett, Riley and Zander Donovan. Tim graduated from St Mary’s High School in 1958. He later graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1960. Timothy then attended the Franklin Institute and graduated in 1962. He joined the United States Air Force in 1963 and served until 1967. He was stationed in Germany and loaded bombs onto military airplanes. Tim and Jan got married in 1960 and resided in Danvers for fifty years. Tim was a non Pat’s fan and a huge Brady hater. He had season tickets to the New York Giants since 1973. Tim enjoyed Foxwoods, selling pins and cards and going to flea markets. He loved animals. He retired from the MBTA after 37 years.
