Timothy L. Widdows, 63, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 24, 1952, in Granite City, the son of Donald M. and Loretta A. Keltner Widdows.
He is survived by his mother of Monroe Township, NJ; one daughter, Faith T. Widdows (fiancé Austin Hallock) of Hillview; one son, Jacob T. Widdows of Pleasant Plains; one brother, Philip P. (Camille) Widdows of Cranford, NJ; one sister, Deborah A. (Robert) Kelchner of Edison, NJ; a nephew, Matthew (Amy) Widows; a niece, Jillian (John) Guarini; and special friends, Mark and Candy Jackson, Tammy Craddock and Josh Nimrick. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Widdows was a 1971 graduate of Cranford (NJ) High School and then attended Union Technical Institute. He had worked as a mechanical engineer for the city of Cranford, NJ. In 1993, he moved to Jacksonville to restore and design carousel horses. He displayed his horses at Clayville, the Gov. Duncan Mansion, the Jacksonville Theater Guild, and was a featured artist at the Illinois State Fair.
