Leominster – Timothy J. O’Connor Jr., 90, of Leominster, passed away on December 9, 2016 after a short battle with Acquired Hemophilia, in LifeCare Center of Leominster. He was born February 27, 1926, in Worcester, MA son of the late Timothy J. and Blance Irene (Lecours) O’Connor. Mr. O’Connor was a Navy Veteran of WWII, serving from 1943-1946, attaining rank of Seaman First Class. He served in the South Pacific and received the American Theatre Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon-(1 star), Asian-Pacific Theatre Ribbon-(1 star), and the WWII Victory Medal. He worked for American Optical in Worcester for 10 years and the remainder of his work career as a Civil Engineer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
He is survived by his son Kevin O’Connor of Leominster. Timothy was predeceased by his wife Lucile () O’Connor in 2002, two sisters; Frances (O’Connor) Bovick and Phyllis (O’Connor) Moge, along with one brother Hugh O’Connor.
