Timothy John Kleis, passed away from complications of ALS on November 22, 2016 in Kalamazoo at the age of 64. Tim was born March 7, 1952 in Kalamazoo, the son of Paul and Lois (Rameau) Kleis.
On June 21, 1986, he was united in marriage to Judy (Havilar) Kleis, who survives. Also surviving are his mother Lois Kleis, their three children Scott (Jacqueline) Kleis, Jonah (Nicole) Havilar and Stephanie Kleis (fiancé Phillip Newton); six grandchildren: Jordyn, Alexzandria, Nickelas, Elizabeth, Taylor, Brady; siblings Mark Kleis, Rebecca (John) Wruble, Julie (Keith) Bramer, Thomas (Michelle) Kleis; nieces and nephews.
Tim was employed since 1974 with Borgess Health where he was employed as a Bio-Medical Technician and in more recent years as a Solutions Design Analyst, where he had input in the design, application and purchase of medical equipment for Borgess and outlying Borgess entities.
Before 1974 Tim was employed at the Sound Room.
Tim was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Richland and a Committee Member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES).Tim also enjoyed participating with the Kalamazoo Valley Antique Tractor Engine & Machinery Club.
Tim enjoyed a lifetime of working with audio engineering, electronics, and surrounding himself with his antiques cars, tractors, trains and later introducing his grandchildren to his passions.
