In Loving Memory
Timothy F. Cleary
November 5, 1947

Timothy F.
Tim was born in Pittsburg, PA. He was the second of three children born to Joseph Cleary and Elizabeth Alig. In 1965, Tim graduated from Surrattsville Senior High School, located in Clinton, MD. Tim met his future wife, Sharon Burke Dougherty, when they were just teenagers. They married in 1967 at the chapel on Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, D.C.
Tim trained as both a plumber and a sheet metal worker while in Washington, D.C.
Over the years, Tim worked as a Superintendent at several commercial HVAC companies in the Denver area, including Rocky Mountain Sheet Metal and the Simpson Company. Thanks to years of commuting to different job sites, Tim seemed to have memorized every highway and surface street of the Denver Metro area. If you were heading somewhere, he could compare every alternative route; he was a walking version of Google Maps before Google Maps existed.
Tim and Sharon were married for 48 years before she passed away after a battle with cancer. Tim took such loving care of Sharon during her illness (and always). He was truly a man of incredible kindness and strength. He was an example of selflessness all his life.
During his retirement, Tim loved riding his tractors and enjoying his view of the front range from his home in Parker, CO.
Tim was a loving husband, father, uncle, and friend. He was a beautiful example of compassion and non-judgmental generosity. When people who knew Tim learned of his passing, they universally expressed deep sadness at the loss of this truly “gentle giant.”
Tim is survived by his son, Timothy J. Cleary, of Parker, CO; his daughter, Jill Cleary Micai (Eric) of Collierville, TN; and his brother, Joseph N. Cleary (Bonnie), of Edinburg, VA.
Tim was predeceased by his wife, Sharon Dougherty Cleary; he was also predeceased by both of his parents, (Joe and Bette), and his dear sister, Mary Elizabeth Ober.
Dearest Dad…Oh, how we will miss you. We know it’s probably going be a little while, but we just can’t wait until we get the band back together.
T & J
You are not enclosed within your bodies, nor confined to houses or fields. That which is you dwells above the mountain and roves with the wind. It is not a thing that crawls into the sun for warmth or digs holes into darkness for safety. But a thing free, a spirit that envelops the earth and moves in the ether.
