Mr. McDaniel was born in Decatur, Alabama on June 19, 1977 to Rose Mary Strain McDaniel and the late Reverend Larry Joe McDaniel. He departed this life on May 2, 2012 in Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. McDaniel confessed Hope in Christ at an early age and joined Hills Chapel C.P.C.A. Prior to being disabled, he was employed as a stocker for the Target Distribution Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Larry McDaniel; maternal grandparents, James and Mary Rebecca Strain; paternal grandparents, Sue Ball and Floyd Lee Stover.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a wife, Christine Van Wagnen; two children, Tyree McDaniel and Tayshaun McDaniel; mother, Rose S. McDaniel; brothers, Larry Jr. (Katy) McDaniel, Bradley McDaniel and Jason (Brittany) McDaniel all of Decatur; mother-in-law, Sandi Martin of Cullman; brothers in-law, Michael, Jason, Velton and Matthew Van Wagnen all of Moulton; aunts, Dora (Millard) Powers, Janice Johnson, Jennifer Strain all of Decatur and Patricia (Albert) Douglas of Madison; uncles, Glenn (Martha) Strain of Huntsville and Arthur (Mary) Strain of Somerville; one great-aunt, Emma Wilder of Huntsville; one niece, Mikayla McDaniel; two nephews, Emmanuel and Jaylen McDaniel and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
