Timothy Arwood, 55, of Ottawa, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Sunday, February 3, 2013, after a fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. His loving wife of over 34 years was by his side when he passed. Timothy Scott Arwood was born on December 18, 1957, to Maynard and Helen Arwood in Kennewick, Washington.

His childhood adventures with his older brothers and sister were stories he loved to share. He graduated from Tonica High School in 1976 and eventually began working for GE Plastics, where he worked for almost 30 years. He married JoAnne (Jones) on July 9, 1978, under an old oak tree at Buffalo Rock State Park. His day began and ended with her smile and he often said asking her to marry him was the “smartest decision I ever made!” He was the great love of three daughters: Kindra, Kristin, and Kandice, of whom he was incredibly proud and would brag about to anyone who would listen. Timothy retired from Sabic last year with a medical retirement. He spent his remaining days in Hudson, Florida with his beautiful bride – enjoying an ocean view. Timothy was a member of the Ottawa First Church of the Nazarene and began attending the First Presbyterian Church of Ottawa in 2003. Timothy’s faith was the keystone of his life. He was a man of incredible faith and loved the Lord with all his heart.

Timothy is survived by his wife, JoAnne, and three daughters: Kindra and Kristin of Kankakee, Illinois, and Kandice of Brooklyn, New York. His father, Maynard L. Arwood of Wyoming, brothers Michael (Billie) Arwood of Rockford, Illinois, James (Beckie) Arwood, William (Julie) Arwood, and a sister, Linda (Jack) Sellers, all of Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Jackson) Arwood.
