Timothy Alphonso Swann, on August 26, 2015 at 4:18 am, God saw fit to call Tim home to rest.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father, the late Melvin Eugene Swann, Sr. and Ruby Elizabeth Swann, and one brother, the late Melvin Swann, Jr.

Tim was born in Charles County, Maryland.  His professional journey started with training in high school as a draftsman at a vocational school.  He graduated from Lackey High School in Marbury, Maryland in 1981.  He worked several jobs: SSDI, Charles County Steel, Columbia Welders, Hamilton Steel and was actively employed with Criss Brothers until his passing.

Throughout his battle, Timothy never complained.  He was determined to stay independent and positive.  In the face of seemingly insurmountable odds, he kept his methodical approach towards life.  In his words “You have to deal with the hand you were dealt, I’m not going to just give up.”  He found a way to work from his hospital bed.  He was thought of with much respect and will be sorely missed.

Although Tim never married, he had a true love, drafting.  His reputation and his attention to detail in the steel industry spoke volumes about who he was as a man.  Throughout much of his adult life, you could find him assisting his siblings and relatives with various tasks and projects.

In his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, sport cars, fine jewelry, traveling, seafood, attending county and state fairs, and always had a sweet tooth.

He is survived by three brothers, Sherrod Swann, Harvey Swann (Judy), Marvin Swann and four sisters, Carolyn Swann, Bonita Bethea (Earl), Marilynn Savage (Garry), Gwendolyn Swann and a host of nieces and nephews.
