Timetta Ann Robinson Peay, age 70, of Lanham, Maryland, passed away on June 22, 2020. Timetta was born in Washington, DC to Claretha Smith and William Robinson on June 15, 1950. She graduated from Saint Mary’s Academy in Leonardtown, Maryland in 1968. Immediately following she began working for DC Government. She graduated for OCI Technical School in 1979. She worked as a Document Control Specialist/Supervisor for PSI International then transitioned to ZAI, before retirement in 2016 for a total of 27 years.
She was a lifetime member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. In 2008 she became a member of the Eastern Star Bethel Chapter No. 7. As an Eastern Star she received her Administration Degree to serve as Worth Matron in Naomi Chapter No. 7. She was such a loving and devoted mother, daughter and sister. Family was always at the forefront of everything for her. She was dedicated to the well-being of all her grandchildren. She was also a loyal friend to countless many.
Timetta is preceded in death by William Robinson (father), Claretha Smith (mother) and Garnetta Smith (sister). Timetta is survived by Harold Rustin; son Charles Peay Jr, daughter Monique (Peay) Huling; brother Herbert Smith III and wife Miheala Smith; Harolena “Teddy” and James Lowder; Tyrone Rusten; Cassandra Staton; grandchildren Marcus, Jaison, Alyse, Patricia, James Jr., Cheyenne; and a host of great-grands.
