Tillman Russell Gannaway of Pinson passed away August 5, 2009 at the age of 68. He served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps before receiving his master’s in education from U.A.B. He retired after 28 years of service will the Jefferson County Board of Education. His passion was teaching special needs children. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Tillman Dixon and Katherine Eugena Gannaway.
