Thurman Rayburn Callaham, 77, of Chickamauga, Ga., died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was a Baptist. Mr. Callaham was the owner and operator of Lancaster Auto Parts from 1969 to 1997. He was a former member of the Brainerd Optimist Club, an avid drag racer and Nascar fan. Mr. Callaham was a former member of the National Hot Rod Association. He was preceded in death by parents, Vonley and Bunice Callaham; brothers, Earl and Alver; sisters, Grace, Mable, Tina, and Renva. Survivors are his loving wife, Dolores Callaham; sons, Lamar (Freida) Callaham, Chickamauga, Ga., David Callaham, Rossville; daughter, Jackie Slayton, Ringgold, Ga.; sister, Faye Brown, Chickamauga, Ga.; grandchildren, Brandon, Savannah Rae, Christopher, Kyle and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Corey and Brennan.
