Thompson Hamilton Storey, 90, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from complications of congestive heart failure and lung disease. He was born October 14, 1921 in Coweta County, the fifth of seven children, to the late Calvin Cologne Storey and Lonnie Mae Lyle Storey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings. Mr. Storey was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church on Summers McKoy Rd and in his later years attended Sunday School at First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Thompson was a giant of a man in every respect who dearly loved his children and grandchildren. He was a builder who built many houses before he opened and operated Storey Cash and Carry on Roscoe Road before his health failed.
He was well known to his customers as the “well pump man.” He took great pride in getting to know his customers and becoming close friends with many of them.
