Thomas Walter White, 76, of Thurmont, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, PA. Born December 31, 1941 in Emmitsburg, he was the son of the late Herbert and Irene (Adams) White. He was the devoted husband of Peggy (Willhide) White, to whom he was married for almost 53 years.
Tom was a Maintenance Specialist with State Farm Insurance Company in Frederick for 23 years. He was previously employed by Myers Radio and TV in Emmitsburg. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Emmitsburg and was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard.
Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife Peggy, are daughters, Lori Brown, Patty Wehage and husband Joe, and Jean Dinterman and husband Bob, all of Thurmont; son, Rick White of Carson City, NV; sisters, Frances Miller of Littlestown, PA, Kathleen Shorb of Fairfield, PA, and Betty Ann Knovich of Etters, PA; brother, William “Dave” White and wife Julie of Woodsboro; grandchildren, Ashley Brown, Chad Brown, Sara White, Marlee Dinterman, Logan Dinterman, Samantha White, Brady Wehage and Gabe White; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Stonebraker and Joey Wehage, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. He is also remembered by special friend, Frank Davis. He was predeceased by a brother, Sterling “Bud” White.
