Thomas V. Horner, 82 of Burlington Township, NJ passed away suddenly on Sunday June 6. 2021.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was raised in Beverly, NJ before moving to Burlington Township.  Tom was a graduate of Burlington City High School, Class of 1956.  He then attended the Spring Garden Institute of Technology in Philadelphia, graduating in 1958.  He was a member of the Army National Guard of New Jersey, 114th Infantry, Burlington Armory, from 1961-1967.  Tom was self employed, the owner of Horner’s Auto Body, Edgewater Park, NJ and TH Property Maintenance, Burlington Township, NJ.  After semi-retiring in 2007, Tom enjoyed spending his winters in Dania Beach, Florida.

Tom was an avid automobile enthusiast, which helped shape his first chosen career in automobile mechanical and auto body repair.  He operated his own body shop for over 25 years, specializing in fiberglass Corvette repair.  Loving to work with his hands and improve things, Tom worked in home remodeling and improvements for another 25 years as a business owner.  Tom loved spending time at the Jersey Shore, where he owned a home on Long Beach Island.  When younger, he enjoyed surfing the waves and crabbing with his sons.  Tom was always physically active and was a member of various gyms, whether he was at home, the Jersey Shore or Florida.

He considered his most important and proudest accomplishments of life as being a husband, father and grandfather.  Predeceased by his parents Harry O. and Helen V. Horner, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Antoinette L. (Coppola), his children, Thomas S. Horner and partner Paul, Matthew R. Horner and spouse Kara, his grandchildren Collin and Jake Horner, and step grandchildren Jenna, Andrew and Keith.
