Thomas Frederick Bobo, 75, of Kingwood, WV died Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown. He was born May 22, 1947 in Morgantown and was the son of the late Fred O. Bobo and Elizabeth “Betty” (Evick) Bobo.
Tom was a 1965 graduate of Kingwood High School and served in the US Army Reserves 354th Ordinance Company. At the age of 19 he started working for the Albright Power Station from where he retired. Tom was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Kingwood Lions Club, Preston County Country Club in Kingwood.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family and friends. Tom will always be remembered as the biggest tall tale story teller who loved pulling your leg.
Tom is survived by his daughters and spouses; Leslie and Richard Riley of Independence, Heather and Spencer Ferguson of Woodbury, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Logan Brand, Nolan Brand, Ethan Riley, Owen Ferguson and Carter Ferguson; two sisters, Carole L. Gregg of Oakland, Maryland and Mary Jo Gregg of Terra Alta; his fiancée, Sherry Gould of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and her daughter, Heather Bickel and two grandchildren, Ryan Bickel and Lauren Bickel, all of Austin, Texas; his former wife, Nancy Dixon of Independence; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, James Gregg; former-in-laws, William and Lois Dixon.
