Thomas “Tom” Edward Simons, age 61, of Battle Creek, passed away on August 4, 2021, at home.
He was born August 25, 1959, in Kalamazoo to the late Frank and Iva (Flett) Simons.
Tom loved spending time with his family & friends—the more company the better. His all-time favorite was riding his motorcycle around and having his son, Shane, and his nephew, Dunner Hamblin, riding alongside him on theirs. He enjoyed watching action and comedy movies mostly. On most Friday nights, you could almost guarantee that Tom could be found in front of a television watching WWE Wrestling—his favorite was the tag team “Mysterios.” On Sundays, during the racing season, he would be watching the NASCAR races; his favorite driver was Tony “Smoke” Stewart.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers & sisters; and a very special grandson Edward “Eddie” Dibble.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine “Lori” Simons; children, Tammera “Tammy” Dibble (Jason Bishop), Jennifer “Jenni” Simons (James “Dooley” Warren), Tomi Simons (Rich Hamming), and Shane Simons (Leah Dekema); brothers, Raymond “Ray” Simons, Paul Simons, & Charles “Chip” Simons; several grand & great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
