Thomas E. “Tom” Rife, 61, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014, at Elkhart General Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born October 22, 1952 in Elkhart to Leroy and Anna (Billey) Rife.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy J. Rife of Elkhart; 3 daughters, Emily (Andrew) Pigeon, Elizabeth (Cody) Voss, both of Florida and Pheadre Abrell of Elkhart; 2 brothers, Bill (Louann) Rife of Traverse City, MI and Jim (Claire) Rife of Mexico; 2 sisters, Judy (Dan) Massey of Columbus, OH and Sherry (Henry) Crouch of Arizonia; mother, Anna Rife of Traverse City, MI; 7 grandchildren, Krystal Abrell of Mishawaka, Brittany Warren of Edwardsburg, MI, Nathaniel Warren of Goshen, Logan and Haydin Abrell, both of Elkhart, Conner Pigeon and Madison Voss, both of Florida.
Tom was previously employed with Crown Audio as a technician prior to his retirement.
He was a member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Mishawaka and the Knight of Columbus Council 1043 in Elkhart.
Tom spent several years playing guitar with various bands and especially enjoyed playing blues music.
