Tom moved to Boise, Idaho in 1966. He attended Highland’s Elementary in Boise and Hemingway Elementary in Ketchum, Idaho. He later returned to Boise graduating from Boise High in 1983. His freshmen year of college was at Colorado State University where he joined the SAE Fraternity. He then transferred to the University of Idaho where he graduated from the School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance.
These years solidified his commitment as a loyal friend. His friends were his lifeblood and when asked how he kept these childhood friends so close despite physical distance, his reply was simple. “You just keep coming back to them.” He loved everything outdoors and was an avid fisherman, hunter, sports enthusiast and a model of fitness.
Tom was a talented professional in corporate real estate primarily with Fortune 500 companies as their Senior Director or Manager of Real Estate. These companies included Albertson’s, Inc., Home Depot, Christie Development Associates, LLC., 24 Hour Fitness, and DaVita Healthcare Partners. Through his commitment to his industry, he lived in many cities where he made it a priority to create lasting friendships, which he diligently maintained.
Tom’s love of adventure brought him to many places with great friends.
Tom is survived by his parents, his brother Joseph, his sisters Katrina (Jamie) Collins, Angel (Curt) Schade, SJ (Marc) Sheppard and many loved nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many close friends. His stepbrother, Jeff Watson, precedes him in death. The family would especially like to thank dear friends Grant L. Petersen Jr. and Mike Fery for their unlimited love, friendship and care.
