Thomas Solorz of Stanchfield passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at United Hospital in St. Paul at the age of 90.
Thomas Francis Solorz was born May 2, 1932 to Thomas (Sr.) and Mary (Gosiak) Solorz in Little Falls, Minnesota.
After serving in the United States Army, he came home and married the love of his life, Shirley. Tom and Shirley settled in South St. Paul and raised 6 children. Retiring at age 62, he and Shirley built their retirement home in Stanchfield where they have resided for the past 23 years.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Shirley Solorz; children: Karen Yates (Kevin), Diana Fahey (Dennis), Kevin Solorz (Janet), Mary Knack and Timothy Solorz; grandchildren: Andrew Yates, Sara Wilson, Alex Yates, Matthew Fahey, Michael Fahey, Samuel Fahey, Olivia Wilson; great-grandchildren: Jett, Payton, Cobie, Paxton, Luca, Elliott, Evelyn, Emmett; sisters-in-law: Doreen Solorz, Donna Mae Thomalla, Jan Klefsass, Mary Ann Gallus; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mary Solorz; son Terrence Solorz; 5 siblings; many in-laws.
