Thomas Ray Nicholas, 96, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

Tom was born October 30, 1917, in Raccoon, Indiana to Walter R. and Evia A. (Ruark) Nicholas.

He was employed with P R Mallory for 18 years as a corporate model maker.

He was a member of the Nineveh Masonic Lodge #317, First Christian Church in Bargersville and a former member of the Olive Branch Christian Church. He was a state champion gymnast in high School, training at the Southside Turner facility. Tom enjoyed bowling, gardening, and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Nicholas, four children, Jeannine (Jerry) Bristow of Bargersville, Sue A. (Don) Linzie, Richard Nicholas, and Rhonda (Bob) Bleich all of Indianapolis, a sister, Madonna Hall of Greenwood, ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Eva M. Nicholas and L. Margaret Nicholas, a daughter, Vickie Lyn Nicholas, and a sister, Gladys Sieves.
