Mr. Thomas Ray Artis, 63, of 7925 Liberty Circle, Pasadena, MD, formerly of Fremont, NC passed away Sat., Feb. 8, 2014 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Maryland.
Mr. Artis was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Savannah Artis and three brothers, Marvin Lee Artis, Charles Benjamin Artis and Carl Gene Artis.
He leaves to cherish memories: his loving wife, Carolyn Artis of the home; one son, Thomas Ray Artis, Jr., (aka – T.J.) of Suitland, MD; two daughters, Jerlonda Branch and Sonya Reid-Artis, both of Wilson, NC; three grandchildren, Kierra Richardson, Tequilla Redmond and Naima Artis, all of Wilson, NC; two great grandchildren, Caleb Hughes and Jayla Redmond, both of Wilson, NC; three brothers, James Artis (Doris) and Isaac Artis (Joyce), both of Fremont, NC and David Artis (Jeannie) of Ellicott, MD; two sisters, Annie Mitchell (Kenneth) of Youngsville, NC and Carolyn Artis of Great Mills, MD; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Artis of Goldsboro, NC and Elnora Artis of Aurora, CO; four special nephews, Anthony Artis, Eric Reid, and Don Sherrod, all of Wilson, NC and Monty Reid of MD; a beloved mother-in-law, Clara Reid of Wilson, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
