Thomas R. Thatcher, Jr, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday November 11, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Helen J. (Sandt) Thatcher. They would have been married for 68 years next month. Born in Easton, he was the son of the late Thomas R. and Mary Blanche (Stecker) Thatcher. Tom was a graduate of Easton High School and the former Churchmans Business College in Easton. He honorably served his country in the US Army, Air Force and the National Guard. He worked as a sales rep. for Victor Balata Belting Co. for 40 years, until retiring in 1992. Tom was a member of First Baptist Church in Bethlehem. He was also a Mason since 1960, belonging to Dallas/Lafayette Lodge. He was an avid professional football & baseball fan.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Helen, daughter Laurie A. Thatcher of Bethlehem; grandchildren Julia R. Vallee and John Paul Vallee; brother James Lee of Easton.
