Thomas R. Bagley I, age 78, of Gardendale, Alabama and a former area resident, died Friday, June 7, 2013 in Boardman, Ohio. He was born January 11, 1935 in Canton, Ohio, a son of Russell and Lillian (Lambright) Bagley. Mr. Bagley was an Alliance High School graduate. His employment started at the Pittsburgh Foundry on Pershing Street in Salem then he went on to Canfield Steel where he was a line operator. Tom went to N.R.M. in both Leetonia and Columbiana where he had over 1200 men under his watch. After that he went to Paxson Machine where he was a production manager. When the plant closed Tom went to Pressweld Inc. in Sebring, where he was vice president. He eventually bought out the business, started Lake Park Mfg. in 1985 thru 1993 before starting Bagley Inc., which he ran until his retirement in 2000. Tom was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gardendale, Alabama. His wife, Donna (Corfee) Bagley, whom he married March 23, 1957, survives him along with two sons, Thomas R. (Lorraine) Bagley II of Salem and Gary (Susan) Bagley of Salem; two daughters, Christina (Edward) Witherstine of Gardendale, Alabama and Elizabeth Ann Bagley of Los Angeles, California; sisters, Margaret Nigro and Betty Nigro both of Buffalo, New York and Linda Corfee of Lisbon; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
