Thomas Peter Zielinski, 74, passed away on August 8, 2011 at his home in Melbourne, FL, surrounded by the love of his wife and children and the thoughts and prayers of friends and family.
He was a loving and devoted husband of 50 years to Luciana (Marrani) Zielinski of Burlington, N.J. Additionally, he is survived by his children, Thomas Mark Zielinski; Robert Zielinski, and his wife, Cynthia, and their two children, Pedro and Nicolas; and Susan Zielinski and her fiancé, Allan Saunders, and his two sons, Clayton and Daniel; his sister, Maryann Bishop; and his brother-in-law, Louis Marrani.
Tom was born on June 27, 1937 in Burlington, N.J., to Elsina and Anthony Zielinski. He graduated from Burlington High School and served in the United States Army until 1959, when he embarked on his career in environmental health and safety within the oil, chemical, and defense industries. Through his work, he traveled the world, which suited his love of food and wine, and meeting wonderful people from different cultures. He was an avid golfer who thoroughly enjoyed his weekly outings with friends.
There were no “strangers” in Tom’s life, as he could easily strike up conversation and offer a smile to everyone. His wife and children remember him as a man of great warmth and compassion and quiet spirituality.
