Thomas P. Swenhaugen, 28, of rural Ottawa, died Saturday evening, May 24, 2008, at his home following a 5 year illness with brain cancer. Thomas was born on April 14, 1980 in Ottawa to William Paul and Karen (Schlink) Swenhaugen. He was a 1998 Graduate of Ottawa Township High School and attended IVCC.
He was a farmer and trucker, and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He is survived by his parents of Ottawa, his sister, Ingrid (Michael) Cushing, of Ottawa, his maternal grandparents, Donald and Rita Schlink, of Ottawa, and his paternal grandfather, Arvid Swenhaugen, of Ottawa, a niece, Emma Katherine Cushing, a nephew Luke Thomas Cushing; aunts and uncles: Laurie (Gary) Yount, of Oswego, Christine (Bjorn) Erlandson, of Maui, Hawaii, Susan (Kenneth) Poutre, of Ottawa, and cousins, Andrew (Basia), Alex, and Ben Yount, Leda and Ayla Erlandson, Katherine (Dan) Fowler, and Kristina (Tony) Jacobozzi.
