Thomas P. Harrell, age 83 of San Antonio passed away on March 28th, 2021It is with heavy heart’s that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Tom. Tom passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in San Antonio, Texas Sunday morning March 28th. Tom was a proud graduate of West Catholic High School class of 1955. Upon graduation from West Catholic, Tom served four years in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force Tom developed a love of San Antonio Texas. Upon his discharge from the Air Force, he returned to San Antonio and graduated from St. Mary’s University. While attending Saint Mary’s, Tom was one of the founding members who established the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity chapter. Tom enjoyed his work as development officer and fund raiser for many institutions in San Antonio and was very successful. His success at fund raising was a result of his truly believing in the goals and good works of the charitable organizations for which he worked. His greatest pride was his work for Seton Home for teen mothers. He literally wore his heart on his sleeve while doing his work. Two of Tom’s greatest enjoyments were riding through his beloved Hill Country outside San Antonio and trying to keep track of his many nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his loving parents James and Agnes Harrell, brothers Frank (Dolores, deceased) Harrell and Richard (Sara) Harrell. Survived by his sisters Ellen (Richard, deceased) Phillips and Agnes Harrell and brothers Dan (Regina, deceased) Harrell and Jim (Monica) Harrell and many nieces and nephews.
