Thomas P. Shultz, 64, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 10:05 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022, at home with his beloved wife and daughters by his side. On June 18, 1957, Tom was born in South Bend, Indiana to Thomas William and Juhne (Bedford) Shultz the fourth of six children, and was a lifelong resident. He was a part-owner of Monarch Laundry with his brother Bob for 41 years before retiring in 2019. Bob considered Tom to be a great business partner. On January 30, 1997, he married the love of his life Anita J. Berreth, who survives. Tom is also survived by two daughters, Heather Shultz of Tampa, Florida, and Shannon Sherman of Osceola, Indiana; one step-daughter, Bethany Hedman of South Bend, Indiana; one son, Thomas Shultz, Jr. of South Bend, Indiana; four grandchildren, Alyssia, Archer, Mason and Gabriel; two sisters, Sue (Neil) Brioli of New Carlisle, Indiana and Diana (Michael) Moore of South Bend, Indiana; and two brothers, Robert (Diane) Shultz and Jon (Carol) Shultz both of South Bend, Indiana. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Juhne Shultz; and his brother, Stephen Shultz. Tom graduated from John Adams High School in 1976. Tom was an accomplished demolition derby driver in his younger years. Tom enjoyed his life to the fullest by filling it with the things he loved to do such as antique toy collecting, flipping classic automobiles, boating on Lake Michigan, spending time in his pole barn, and playing poker with his friends. Tom had a wonderful sense of humor and was always armed with jokes for any occasion. Tom made many faithful friendships throughout his life and those who knew Tom knew that down deep he was selfless when it came to helping his family and true friends with whatever they needed. Tom will always be loved and very much missed. He will never be forgotten and will live in the hearts of those that loved him forever.
