Thomas (Tom) Edward Otto died Wednesday, May 24th, 2017 at the Norfolk Veterans Home following a brief illness.
Born and raised in Stuart, Nebraska, the son of Lonnie and Bonnie (Potter) Otto, he was a longtime resident of Norfolk.
After graduating from Stuart High School in 1946, he worked as a surveyor. In 1950, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in Germany during the Korean Conflict. After an Honorable Discharge in 1952, he met his wife, Patricia (Finley), and they were married on November 28th, 1953 at Sacred Heart Church in Norfolk, Nebraska.
Tom was a member of Sacred Heart / St.
He is survived by his daughter Maggie (Merrill) Hale of Norfolk, and sons Tim (Shellie) Otto of Cottage Grove, MN, John (Katherine) Otto of Stanton, and Joe Otto of Omaha; sister Sharon Dohmen of Madison; brother Eddie Otto and companion Korolla;11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat, his parents, and an infant sister (Dixie).
