Thomas O. Wear, Jr., 96, of Newnan, widower of Betty Scripsick Wear died September 18, 2018 at Northside Cherokee Hospital. Born in Sallisaw, OK, September 30, 1921, he was a son of the late Thomas Orval Wear, Sr. and Juanita Cook Settle. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having flown a B-24 during WWII over the pacific. He retired after 30 years of service. Mr. Wear had lived at Wesley Woods of Newnan for the last 17 years. Survivors include a son, Joseph Dean Wear, Sr. and wife Cheryl Rickard Wear, of Cumming; three grandchildren, Joseph D. Wear, Jr. and wife Shauna of Wyandotte, MI, Amanda Wear Allin and husband Josh and Michael Thomas Wear and wife Brooke, all of Cumming, GA; nine great grandchildren, Macie, Charlie, Jensen, Jax, Liam, Hensley, Latham, Lash and Lanier; and companion, Carolyn Fellows of Wesley Woods Newnan.
