Tom was born February 6, 1939, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jonas Berger Borg and Virginia Jenkins Borg. His father built a beautiful log home in Idaho Falls where he resided. He attended and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He then went to Ricks College, now BYU-Idaho.
He went to school at Idaho Falls High School where he loved fast cars and lettered in wrestling. On August 10, 1962, he married Sandra Lee Madsen in the Idaho Falls Temple. He then attended BYU-Provo, graduating with a degree in Industrial Arts Education. He taught at the Child Development Center for a time. Tom loved building, so he joined the Carpenters Local 808, and worked many years in the building trade, including building homes, bridges, and the INL. He had a love of tools and teaching his children the value of hard work – both of which came from his time in the shop with his father.
He enjoyed trains and going to events with his children and grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Lee Borg of Ammon, ID; children, Mart (Dennis), Michael (Julie), Matthew (Dominique), and Rebecca (Brian, deceased) Crow; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Josef and David Borg; sister, Jeaniene Empey; and son-in-law, Brian Crow.
