Thomas O. Hopkins, 94, of Seaside Park, NJ died Tuesday November 8, 2011. Thomas was born in Hightstown, NJ and lived in Burlington, NJ before moving to Seaside Park in 1977. Before he retired, Thomas was the Superintendent of Burlington Township Schools from 1946 to his retirement in 1977.
He was a graduate of Trenton State College (College of NJ) and received his MA at Temple University. Thomas served in the US Army in World War II. He is predeceased by his wife Virginia and is survived by his daughter Jan Hopkins Garber and her husband John of Cibolo, TX and a son Terry Hopkins of Aston, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren John, Joshua, Zachary, Jordan and Kaitlyn and five great grandchildren.
