Thomas H. Norris, 84, of Ottawa, died Thursday August 26, 2010 at Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa.
Thomas was born February 28, 1926 in Brinkley, Arkansas to T.H.F. and Annie Mae (Allen) Norris. He married Mary Johnston on September 2, 1950 in Ottawa. He served in the Navy during WWII. Thomas received his B.S. in civil engineering from Iowa State University and was a retired civil engineer. He was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Ottawa.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Ottawa; 2 daughters, Nancy (Dan) Rogers, of Geneseo, IL and Elizabeth (Jeff) Pinkham, of Douglasville, GA; 2 sons, Tom (Anita) Norris, of Ottawa and John (Cindy) Norris, of Champaign, IL; 9 grandchildren, Stephanie (Terry Chismarick) Norris, Megan Norris-Creedon, Brandon (Emily) Norris, Phil (Heather) Pinkham, Sarah (Tim) Leetch, Abigail (Tyson) May, Daniel (Melanie) Rogers, Natalie Norris and Jenna Norris; and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Ryan Norris and a brother R. Allen Norris.
