Thomas N. Green, age 66 of Midland died at the MidMichigan Medical Center on Monday, October 8, 2012.
The son of the late George and Charlotte (Patten) Green was born on October 22, 1945, in Pt. Huron was raised and educated in Byron.
Tom served with the US Army during the Vietnam War where he received a Bronze Star V, a Bronze Star Merit , two Purple Hearts, and three Army Commendation Medals. On April 27, 1968, he married the former Charyl Bailey in Byron and moved to Midland in 1972. Tom worked for International Operating Engineers Local 324, retiring in 2008 after more than thirty years of service.
He was well known as a very talented and gifted person, giving both his time and resources.
Tom is survived by his wife Charyl; daughters, Raquel Green and Kerrie (Jeffrey) Thomson; foster son, Steve Pickens; grandchildren, Kenneth Green, Bailey Green, Kristin Cassidy, Kaylynn Cassidy, Kollin Cassidy; great-grandchildren, Justin Hollar and Haydenn Cassidy; and sister, Sandra Green.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Green, and sister-in-law, Cheryl Green.
