Tom passed away March 19, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 83 years old. Tom was a devoted husband and father. He was a kind man that was loved by many. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting , fishing and bird watching. He enjoyed wood working and was known for his cooking skills.
Tom was born December 4, 1937 in Webb MS to Charles and Lois (Robertson) McVay. He served in the US Airforce. He retired from Clarksdale Public Utilities as a maintenance supervisor.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Charles, his mother Lois and his son Raymond. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Deborah, his children Thomas (Sharon) McVay, Michael McVay, Yvonne ( Joseph) Farson ,Patrick ( Dawn) McVay ,six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister Jeannette Gilbert and brother Stephen McVay.
