Thomas Lyn Hutchins, 76, of Statesville, slipped away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at Gordon Hospice House.
He was born on September 2, 1941 in Winston Salem to the late Harry Spencer and Lida Phillips Hutchins.
He was a member of Mountain Road Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher for the Adult Men’s Class and enjoyed taking trips with the Senior Adult church members. He was also an avid traveler before and after retirement and enjoyed many trips abroad and throughout the United States with his wife, Elizabeth. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was always there for his family.
