DEACON THOMAS LEE KNOX, SR. was a proud southern gentleman who was born in Delhi, LA. At an early age, Deacon Knox united with Mt.

As a young teenager, Deacon Knox joined the United States Navy and moved to San Diego, CA, where he met and married the love of his life, Evernell Williams. From this union, seven children were born and later fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Deacon Knox was a very proud father. Having seven children was very significant to Deacon Knox because seven represents God’s number of completion.

Deacon Knox proudly served his country for thirty years and retired from the United States Navy as an E7 Chief Petty Officer.

Deacon Knox was thankful and grateful to our Lord and Savior who strengthened him throughout his Christian journey. One of his favorite scriptures was Romans 12:1-3.

On Tuesday, May 27, 2014, God called Deacon Thomas Lee Knox, Sr. from labor to reward. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife of sixty-six years, Deaconess Evernell Knox; seven children, Michael D. Knox, Cynthia Williams, Sylvia Tanabe-Smith, DeBorah N. Haney, Thomas L. Knox, Jr., Pamela J. Howard and Rodney L. Knox; five living sisters, Alice Miller, Doris Woodard, Lorene Conley, Flosenia May and Barbara Ann Ward; one brother, John Earl Knox; fourteen grandchildren, Kimberly L. Knox, Shannon R. Goodrow, Orren D. Tanabe, Ryoko L. Dowers, Travis W. Williams, Summer N. Johnson, Thomas L. Knox, III, Andre Knox, Mercedes V. Howard, Jasmin Knox, Jonathan S. Williams, James Knox, Claudette Tanabe-Smith and Cole T. Knox; ten great-grandchildren, Peyton, Yazmin, Malakai, McCallester, Christopher, Samantha, Jenna, Aria, David and Autumn; three sons-in-law, Wesley Williams, Jr., William T. Howard and William T. Smith; two daughters-in-law, Stacey L. Knox and Stefani R. Knox; two brothers-in-law, Lovell May and Larry Duson; three sisters-in-law, Annie Knox, Janet J.
