Thomas L. Valdivia, 53 a native of Flagstaff passed away January 3, 2020. He was born January 30, 1966.

Anyone who knew Tom knew he was never idle, he always had one project or another going on. If he wasn’t busy building and restoring his homes, he was busy traveling all over the world. He loved exploring other countries and their way of living.

Tom joined the Army right after high school in 1984. He was a telecommunication specialist in the 3rd Armored Division in West Germany, achieving his 1st Good Conduct Medal in 1985, as well as going on special assignments with the Air Force. After 11 years in the Army he went to work for the State of Arizona Correctional Department.

Tom loved being with his friends and he had many all over the world. When Tom was with his friends he made sure that they had a good time. I’m sure those friends have many good memories of those good times. He also could be counted on when any friend or family was in need.

He is survived by his loving parents Henry and Shirley Valdivia, brother Ronald Valdivia, niece Jenika (Anthony) Barreras, nephew Joseph Valdivia, sister in law Susie Valdivia and his favorite great-niece Haily Barreras. As well as his extended family and whole lot of friends. He is proceeded in death by his eldest brother Henry Valdivia Jr.
