Thomas L. Pavey, 76, Anderson, died April 17, 2007 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson after an extended illness.
He was born May 17, 1930 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson all of his life. Thomas was a graduate of Anderson High School and served his country in the US Airforce during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1986 from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after over 24 years of service. Thomas was a member of the Middletown Masonic Lodge #271 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the Murat Temple Shrine. He was an avid fisherman, was a jokester, loved all his family and loved being a grandfather.
He is survived by his wife whom he married August 17, 1963: Betty J. Rothermel Pavey. Son: Ronald & wife Janet Rust of Anderson. Daughter: Vickie & husband Tom Hardin of Anderson. Sisters: Lavetta & husband Walter Murdock of Pendleton and Wanetta & husband Kent Hiatt of Anderson. Five Grandchildren: Jami Rust, Roderick Rust, Cindy Mills, Sandra Karr and Adam Shryock. Nine Great Grandchildren: Nikki, Kendra, Dustin, Zachary, Richie, Ryan, Joshua, Brecken and Tatum. Also surviving are many other very dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Todd & Helen Crawford Pavey. Sister: Rose Mary McGowen. Granddaughter: Leah Besser.
