Thomas Kormis, 78 of Holiday City Berkeley, died on Saturday June 23, 2012 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Hackensack, NJ he lived in Lanoka Harbor, NJ for 31 years before moving to Toms River 8 years ago. Thomas served in the United States Navy and the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was a parishioner of St. Pius X RC Church, Forked River, NJ. Thomas was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree Father Capodanno, 4th degree Monsignor Baldwin, Council No. 6522, Forked River. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Florence Kormis.
His two children Thomas P. Kormis of San Diego, CA and Anne-Marie Beu of Washington. Three grandchildren Ian Daniel, Floey, and Violet.
