Thomas Kira, Sr., of Florence, died Wednesday, March 27th at his home with his loving family at his side, he was 90 years of age.
Born in Roebling on February 26, 1923, he has been an area resident all his life.
A United States Army veteran, he served his country honorably during W.W. II. A crane operator for C.F.&I., Roebling, he retired after 32 years of service. A member of the Roebling V.F.W., Mr. Kira enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool, fishing, and hunting.
Son of the late Peter and Mary Kira and brother of the late George Kira, he is survived by his wife, Mildred (nee Fowler) Kira, his son, Thomas Kira, Jr., his granddaughter, Lindsey Kira and her boyfriend Robert Marmarosa, his great-grandson, Gage and his siblings, Johnny Kira and Mary Gabely.
