Thomas Joe Davis
Norwich- Thomas Joe Davis 83, of Nordon Ave. died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Bride Brook Rehabilitation and Care Center in East Lyme.
He was born in Porterdale, Georgia on October 15, 1929 son of the late Joe Wilson and Ruby (Bailey) Davis. Thomas served his country honorably all his working career in the United States Coast Guard. On July 11, 1960 he was united in marriage to Rose Eleanor Herrick. Mrs. Davis survives her husband of 52 years. Mr. Davis was a member of the Shriner’s; he also loved NASCAR and playing guitar with his brother Wallace.
Thomas was predeceased by a son Thomas J. Duffy and a step son, Dwaine Herrick. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three grandchildren, Erin Duffy of Wareham, MA, Stacey Godin of Virginia and Brian Davis Herrick of Nevada, five great grandchildren, TJ, Holly, Hunter, Mya and Mason and one brother Wallace Davis of Hull, Georgia.
