Thomas Jefferson “Tommy” Gober, Jr., 64, of Moody passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
Born December 24, 1954 in Silverton, Texas to the late Tommy J. Gober Sr. and Pearl (Eaton) Gober.
Married Melody Alston January 25, 2009. Melody was the love of his life.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife, Melody of Moody, his mother Pearl Gober of Moody, his sister Tina and her husband Butch Henson of Moody, his daughter Kristi and her husband Scott Eck of Lorena, his son Bryan Gober and girlfriend Christy Beggs of Ft. Gates, his stepdaughter Bonnie Alston of Waco, his stepson Matthew and wife Tasha Alston of Mexia, granddaughter Kori and husband Brendan Sanders of LaGrange, grandsons Brenden Lisenko of Moody, Colton Gober of Temple, Brent Irwin of Ft. Worth, step-grandsons, Blair and Grant Alston of Mexia, great-grandsons Noah Sanders of La Grange and Jackson Gober of Temple. Two nieces, Carrie Riddell of Rockport and Chelsea Henson of Moody. Two great nieces, Peyton Riddell of Rockport and Everly Dodson of Moody. Great nephew T.J. Riddell of Jacksonville, Florida.
Tommy attended Belton High School. He worked for Odell Geer Construction for 24 years and 9 months. He also worked for Shallow Ford Construction until he retired in October 2018.
Tommy loved fishing with Melody and playing golf with Bo. Tommy had many people he called friends and he cherished those friendships. He was a simple man who had a beautiful heart and spirit.
