Preceding him in death are his parents, Leroy and Ellen Odell Adams and brothers, Donnie, Danny and Sammy Adams. He leaves behind his long-time companion, Peggy Habig, sisters, Linda (Dub) James and Ellen Ann Winehester, special niece Kari Patton Anderson, great-nieces, Brook and Ashley Patton, two uncles, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
